FAQs

  • What is a Stewardship?

Stewards of Mercy hills are either a non-veteran or veteran that moves into Mercy Hills for the sole purpose of helping take care of the land as well as helping the homeless veterans that move here. They will be supplied housing as well as amenities. We will only allow 50 stewardships into Mercy Hills, but each stewardship can include immediate family. Being an off-grid community on this scale requires a lot of physical work as well as assisting the veterans so we look at each and every stewardship application to find skills that will benefit the community, the more skills you bring the better chance you have at being accepted.

  • Who Qualifies for Mercy Hills as a veteran?

Any veteran that is homeless and needing a place to transition back into civilian life. We do run background checks on each individual that submits an application. While we do try to judge on a case-by-case basis, violent offenses do not qualify.

  • How do I apply?

We have two applications available on our website for different positions, one application for veterans and one for stewardships. You can also call during business hours and we can email you a copy to fill out and mail to us.
